About the Role:

The Intern – Competitive Intelligence (LCCI) will work within Lilly Research Labs (LRL) to support the company’s competitive intelligence and analytics efforts. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to drug development, competitive landscapes, and the pharmaceutical industry. The role will contribute to gathering, analyzing, and organizing competitive intelligence to support strategic decision-making across Lilly’s R&D portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform surveillance and scout secondary data from open and subscription-based sources, assimilating it into actionable insights for competitive intelligence partners and stakeholders.
  • Support the creation of Ad-hoc Reports, Target Reports (TR), and Disease Landscapes (DL) by conducting thorough data scouting and analysis under the guidance of experienced team members.
  • Assist in developing conference agendas, manage content uploads, and ensure timely organization and accessibility of conference materials for internal teams.
  • Shadow experienced team members during Investor Relations (IR) calls, and manage uploading of IR materials into SharePoint for easy access by stakeholders.
  • Update internal databases related to target and disease landscapes to facilitate effective, informed decision-making.
  • Utilize MS-Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for data visualization, reporting, and presentation of competitive intelligence insights.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the drug development cycle, clinical trials, and the broader pharmaceutical industry to enhance analysis and reporting quality.
  • Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure accurate and timely delivery of competitive intelligence outputs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Postgraduate degree in Pharma, Life Sciences, or a relevant field.
  • M.E, M.Sc, or M.Tech in Biotechnology with coursework in immunology or genetic engineering is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
  • Experience with MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) for reporting and visualization.
  • Exposure to Intellectual Property Rights is considered an added advantage.
  • Good communication skills and ability to collaborate in a team environment.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
